Blushing Romance - Styled Shoot at Tucson Museum of Art

All you need is love ... and donuts! This styled shoot from last Spring has been one of my favorites to date. The love between this sweet, real life couple is so undeniable and the homemade cake donuts added just the right amount of frosting to make this unique wedding dessert display complete.

The vendors that came together for this session truly outdid themselves and showed how a simple, but cohesive look can really help you achieve the wedding day of your dreams. The stunning wedding gown came from an amazing local nonprofit, Free Ever After whose mission is to reach survivors of sexual abuse and exploitation, to cultivate their gifts, talents and abilities, and to empower them to become successful women and history makers. Nicole from True Bliss  created a completely custom invitation box set that included a rose, wax seal that was hand water colored and tied with a raw satin ribbon for a beautiful, finished look. All of this gorgeousness was capture by the lovely and talented Susannah Lynn Photography who I have had the pleasure of collaborating with on multiple occasions, and it is always such a rewarding and pleasant experience. I believe vendors enjoy participating in styled shoots because it allows us to let our creativity run wild, with no limitations.

When I first met Elizabeth of A Floral Note I knew she would be the perfect fit for this project. Her free-flowing and whimsical aesthetic echos her mantra that flowers should make you pause, tell your story, stop time. I love how the soft colors and shapes of the florals she chose kept with the overall romantic feel of the day.

Our models and real life couple, Carrie and Peter  are so genuine and obviously beautiful, inside and out. It was such a joy to work with them and catch a glimpse into their true life love story.

Stlylized Bridal Photo Shoot in Benson, AZ

It started out as a bright, sunny day with a few clouds looming in the background, as I made my way out to Benson, AZ - a small town just about about 45 miles Southeast of Tucson, AZ. I had been invited by the lovely and talented Annie of Arizona Doe Baking Co. to participate in a photo shoot at the Historic Amerind Foundation and Museum. As I pulled up to the site, the ominous rain clouds that had followed me in, began to open and it started to lightly drizzle. We managed to unload our vehicles full of antique pieces from Nellie's Shabby Boutique, gorgeous stylized cakes and desserts, as well as stunning blooms crafted by Vicky, owner of  Benson Blossom Shop. The rain let up just in time for us to begin shooting. The clouds gave the space a cool, but soft and romantic feel - I loved the contrast of the gray skies against the distinctive peach color of the buildings. I am so thrilled about the images that Robyn of Hayseed Charm Photography was able to capture, including those of our breathtaking model, Lisa Chavez. Thank you ladies for including me in what turned out to be an absolutely gorgeous day! Southern Arizona has so much to offer couple's when it comes to unique wedding venues and amazing vendors; I cannot wait to continue doing more custom, stylized events, such as these.

The sweetheart tablescape design was complete with the lovely Bridal bouquet, as well as custom stamped sugar cookies, made by Arizona Doe Baking Co. - I always recommend  useful or edible favors, such as these, to the couple's I work with - such a fun idea!
